STEPPIN' OUT STORE NBR. 15 - AMSTERDAM

Yesterday, Steppin' Out opened it's doors at Gelderlandplein, Amsterdam. They revealed their new and elevated store concept.

Steppin' Out started in 1983 in Utrecht as a second-hand store, students easily found the way for a vintage tweed jacket or a nice shirt. Today Steppin' Out has 15 stores in The Netherlands, still a go to heaven for the prepsters around us. Stocked with products from brands like William Lockie, Barbour, Sebago and many more, but also a great collection Steppin' Out shirts, pants, knits etc.

This new concept store has the influence of a Long Island beach house combined with an English Estateand a touch of a New York loft. Warm wood, crisp tiles and colors in summer white and denim blue, steel elements and a tin ceiling above the cash desk.

Hope to see you soon in Amsterdam.

UPGRADE YOUR WAX COAT TO CITY LEVEL

These jackets never meant to be in the city streets, they are built to last in the countryside. Protecting you from the rain and keeping you warm. But how cool the look when you mix them with a bespoke suit and tie. You are ready to stroll the streets of Milan no worries about some drops of rain.

BARBOUR X WHITE MOUNTAINEERING SS15

Barbour and White Mountaineering, the two labels have once again decided to combine their signature styles for an upcoming Spring 2015 menswear collection.

This time, Barbour’s utilitarian theme is married with White Mountaineering’s high design aesthetic. The collection includes the classic Barbour waxed cotton jackets, shirts, shorts and many more. In addition, the collections pieces were inspired by a visit to Barbour’s hometown of South Shields, North England, when Yosuke Aizawa, Designer, noted the similarities between the two island nations. Both the UK and Japan respect their connections with the ocean, as seen in the jacket and shorts combination: what looks like a camouflage print from afar are in fact textures of waves. White Mountaineering added their touch by using the pockets from the jackets in the shorts as well: one of many details in this Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
