EIDOS NAPOLI - SPRING/SUMMER 2015

Headed by former Michael Bastian Deputy Creative Director, Antonio Ciongoli, Eidos Napoli is the epitome of Neapolitan tailoring. Although owned by legendary Italian tailoring house, Isaia, Eidos is entirely Ciongoli’s vision. A vision that is unparalleled in the market—one that effortlessly blend the plush, intricately milled fabrics of the Neapolitan world with the slim silhouette of today’s modern man. Featuring soft tailoring and traditional, yet slightly progressive, Italian sportswear, Eidos is a label that simply gets it right and will keep you feeling right, no matter what the occasion.

DOUBLE RL & Co. LOOKBOOK SPRING/SUMMER 2015

I'm in love with this Double RL lookbook for the spring/summer 2015 collection. It set the tone of days gone by when the Wild Wild West show of Buffalo Bill hits the town. And you find everywhere
in town the billboards announcing the show. Or do I romanticize a little too much now?

BEAMS+ LOOKBOOK SPRING/SUMMER 2015

Beams Plus has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2015 lookbook; and for this season , the Japanese brand has infused its signature Americana style with military influences.

Titled “Plus Spec,” the new collection draws inspiration from mid-century innovations, specifically the technological developments by the U.S. armed forces and the muted color palette they are commonly associated with.
The collection has that typical Beams Plus look with pieces which are unmistakably American Prep. Like you have the plaid shorts, knitted green cable sweaters, button-down shirts and seersucker suits.

THE BIG WAVE - INSPIRATIONAL ART

Meet Mr. Katsushika Hokusai, the inspirational artist for Gant Rugger Pre Fall 14 collection and the Barbour X White Mountaineering Spring 1025 collection.

Katsushika Hokusai, born as the story goes on October 31, 1760 (exact date questionable). He was a Japanese artist, ukiyo-e painter and printmaker. He was influenced by such painters as Sesshu, and other styles of Chinese painting. Born in Edo (now Tokyo), Hokusai is best known as author of the woodblock print series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, which includes the internationally recognized print, The Great Wave off Kanagawa, created during the 1820s.

Hokusai created the "Thirty-Six Views" both as a response to a domestic travel boom and as part of a personal obsession with Mount Fuji. It was this series, specifically The Great Wave print and Fuji in Clear Weather, that secured Hokusai’s fame both in Japan and overseas.
