It won't be easy, but you can wear a scarf this summer, it all started last year at the Pitti with some "hipsters" and now you see it more and more this summer. I like the wise guy with the hat, damn he got attitude.
The American magazine Details, did a story about the 5 American Classics every man should own, like there is a pique polo either from Ralph Lauren, Gant or Tommy Hilfiger, a Levi's 501, a Ray Ban Wayfarer, a Timex Military watch for J.Crew and those good old Chucks. SATURDAYS SURF NYC: JOSH ROSEN from KarmaloopTV on Vimeo.
Josh Rosen opened his Surf/Coffee Shop called Saturday's Surf in August 2009 in Soho. His shop is stocked with boards, wetsuits and some great T-shirts, as from Fall 2010 these T-shirts are also available at J.Crew. Check the full story about Josh Rosen in Guest of a Guest how and why he started a surf shack in New York City. This will be a stop for me the next time I will visit New York, for a coffee and a Tee.
Riviera Club, the Santa Barbara, Ca. based label shows us their Fall/Winter 2010 lookbook, which is photographed by Randall Mesdon. This collection for the coming colder days puts us on the slopes of the Adirondack's. Imagine yourself in Lake Placid for your first grass-ski expedition.
WWD, showed the first pictures of the upcoming Gant by Michael Bastian Woman's line for SS 2011.
Inspiration comes from Marilyn Monroe and her 2 husbands the sporty guy Joe Dimaggio and the "nerd" Arthur Miller. Further he got some inspiration from the movie Niagara from the 50's.
Upcoming trend for this winter is layering your denim jacket with a heavy knit, a blazer or a coat. If you're going to try this look, your best bet is to get a fitted denim jacket, and wear it buttoned, with your outerwear left open. Above you have some examples from the catwalk (Gant F/W 2011) and the streets of new York during Fashion week shot by Tommy Ton and The Sartorialist.
