GANT CAMPUS STORE, HAARLEM

Today it was the launch of the second Gant Campus Store in The Netherlands, last year the brand with the roots in New Haven, CT & Yale opened the first one in Maastricht. Haarlem is the place to be for up to date prepstars. The store brings the best of Gant Mainline, Gant by Michael Bastian and unique in the Benelux a collection of Gant Rugger. I had the chance to get my Yale shirt personalized. The evening was filled with beer, Ketel 1 cocktails or straight and Hamburgers like the ones you get at Louis Lunch in New Haven, CT. The Gant Campus breathes Ivy Leaugue, Rowing, Campus Library, everything is well thought, like the wall paper with ads from the early 50's. And what to say about the oars used for a wall unit or the desk at the front. If you close your eyes you see Mr. Bernard Gant himself placing the orders of the fabrics for the shirts. THE GANT CAMPUS STORE IS A WOMANIZER

Yesterday I showed you the GANT man section on the first floor, today it's Lady's Night. We are going upstairs to the Woman section. Here you can find the American Preppy collection for woman, the Navy Nautical style, the Morocco inspired theme and the Gant Collection capsule. All styled in a light environment, natural tones and products are used for this part of the store. Did you see the frames ion the wall with advertisements of Gant Woman shirts in the 50s & 60s?

Today, I visited the GANT Campus Store in Maastricht. They changed the facade, which is much more welcoming then before. In the windows the presented the Navy Nautical Theme and the American prep them. Inside there where much more preppy goodies, like the cotton Fair Isle slipover, the candy striped oxfords, the saddle shoes or what about yellow boat shoes. They also sell preppy on your coffee table, books like Take Ivy, A privileged Life, Gary Cooper, Preppy Cultivating Ivy Style etc. Oh did you see that framed Oxford Shirts that's a vintage piece from the 60's.

WHAT'S A MAN WITHOUT A WOMAN

The Gant Campus Store, Maastricht has also a woman section. On the first floor you can easily find you're way around. The woman area is based on natural tones and products. The wall units are in white washed oak, the round tables are in natural wood and the "flight trunks" are covered with linen. The wooden floor is covered with natural sisal. The woman area is decorated not only with products from Gant Mainline, but also Gant Collection & Gant by Michael Bastian is presented.
