Dreams come true!

Thomas Oeben started some 10 years ago in the fashion industry al these years there was just one thing on his mind, one day I will open my own store. In 2014 when he and his girlfriend went to Florida for a well deserved holiday they paid a visit to Miami's local hero Supply & Advise, that was more or less the birth of Oeben's Mercantile.

 The Oeben's family have worked on the railroads and as merchants or independent businessmen since the 1800's. To honor the family legacy, the collection of Oeben's Mercantile includes true workwear such as denim, soft and thick oxford shirts and rugged outerwear. A careful selection of tailored pieces, complimented by fine shirts and ties will provide today's merchants and entrepreneurs with all they need to take on the world. Obean's Mercantile is founded to supply today's men with menswear, denim & tailoring with the service which is sometimes forgotten in the modern day world. 

You can find the heritage of the Oeben's family throughout the store with hints to the railroad, like a locomotive in the logo and on the counter and the coat and hat of a machinist.

THIS IS THE END. LOOKBOOK FW14

How cool is that to unveil your lookbook for FW14 mid December. Everybody is hunting for bargains, but the guys from End Clothing present us their look on the cold days ahead.

The END. Winter 2014 lookbook is shot on location at the iconic Hadrian’s Wall, Northumberland, a significant historical artefact, a 73 mile defence fortification built in 122AD which spanned the width of the country and contributed to the make-up of modern day Britain as we know it.

CHAD'S STORELOCATOR: GANT RUGGER WILLIAMSBURG, NEW YORK

Of course I had to visit the Gant Store in Williamsburg, NY during my last trip.

The store is situated in a nice red brick building with industrial windows. One of the eye catchers is the rack above the gymstyle benches as you see in the second picture. The other eye catcher is the full operational kitchen inspired by the kitchen of Christopher Bastin I presume. The windows are decorated with plants as the Gant Rugger collection is called "Green Fingers" Everything is well decorated and presented with love to the brand and the product. CHAD'S STORE LOCATOR: GANT RUGGER, LA BREA - LA

The Gant Rugger Store on South La Brea Ave., Los Angeles opened about 6 months ago. East Coast Prep meets West Coast. I had a great chat with Caleb Hammond who told me all the ins and outs about the store and La Brea Ave. The 1100 sqaure-foot store feels like a brasserie meets ivy league. With antique brass chandeliers, reclaimed gym floors and wall units covered with subway tiles.
