AMSTERDAM DENIM DAYS 2014

Amsterdam turned blue the last days, it all started last wednesday when Kingpins Show hits Amsterdam for the very first time. Kingpins Show is a high end fabric fair and is on invitation only.

Today and tomorrow "Westergas Fabriek" is taken over by Blueprint and open for everyone interested in some great denim. Brands like G-Star, K.O.I., Nudie jeans, Pepe Jeans, Scotch & Soda, Denham etc. show their goodies. Furthermore there's a vintage market and a vintage exhibition.

The enamel mug was part of a soldier's mess kit. As a recruit he would march to the cookhouse with mug, knife, fork and spoon. During field manoeuvres and on active service the mug would never be far away, threaded to one of straps of his haversack in the field, ready for immediate use, day or night.  After the WWII we got more spare-time and were able to go out hiking and camping and those mugs are great for this as well. Today they are still used for this purpose but they are also a great advertisement tool. Above you find some good examples from Edwin Jeans, Penfield, Sanborn Canoe Company and General Quarters LA. CHALKBOARDS FROM SCHOOL TO STORE

What should I say most of us or some of us, started to learn in school from the blackboard on which the teacher showed us the most difficult mathematical problems like Einstein's theory. Later on it it was also used in restaurants to present the chef's special And now you see it more and more in stores. Chalkboards become a real visual merchandise tool.

CHAD'S AGENCY SHOWROOM - FALL/WINTER 2014

As the collection of Arrow is growing, with pants, jackets, blazers etc. I can now offer a 

complete collection, so I also could present the collection on mannequins. The new pearl in the showroom is definitely the shirt cabinet I found in a clients garage. When I first saw it, it was covered 

with paint and dirt. But after some hours of work of restoration it shines in my showroom.

Luca Bucari, started the brand (+) People in 2009, It was the triumph of indigo.

The first collection produced was a women’s collection, consisting of only 20 items including jeans and Texan shirts. The following season also the men’s collection was produced.
