RESTAURANT TIP - TRATTORIAN

Italy came a little closer to Stockholm with the recently opened restaurant Trattorian. We enjoyed a great Italian diner with nice wines. It ain't just the food and the wines that brings you in an Italian mood also the whole interior, the large tables gives you the idea to be invited for diner by an Italian family.

DAPHNE'S, STOCKHOLM

Last week, during my stay in Stockholm, I got a tip to visit Daphne's. This is an elegant neighborhood restaurant with French bistro atmosphere and lots of charm. You can find the dish of the day on a blackboard on the wall or you choose from the menu. You can easily spent an evening with the tapas style dishes from the "smatt & gott" menu or you choose a delicious starter with main course from the same menu. The waiters are stylish girls and guys dressed in shirt from GANT Rugger with a denim self edge apron. Is there something cooking?

CHAD GOES TO STOCKHOLM

Monday, Chad will take the plane to Stockholm, and boy is it cold over there with lot's of snow. So to be prepared from head to toe, I have to bring some boots, but what will it be Aigle Wellies or Sorel Caribou or, or, or my favourite Red Wings.

TIP FOR THE GIRLS

 Wool lined Quoddy

Also for the girls who will hit the streets of Stockholm, Chad says: "get booty-licious". Quoddy's are great, but also the duckboots from Sperry or the boots from Sorel. (pics by J.Crew)

BUSINESS TRIP TO STOCKHOLM

On the water's edge at Nacka Strand, Hotel J a member of Design Hotel in Stockholm has mile wide views over the royal Djurgården, Lidingö and the boats on Saltsjön. Inspired by J boats of America's Cup history, the original 1912 brick building has been decorated in a contemporary marine style recalling the boathouses of New England. Architects, Millimeter and designers, R.O.O.M. have used white-painted wooden boards and the hotel is fully decorated with GANT HOME pieces like pillows, plaids and duvetcovers. This will be my home for the next 4 days. Hopefully it won't snow!
