THE BARBERSHOP - A CUT ABOVE THE REST

I would like you to meet Master Barber Jovan Figueroa.
Jovan is a second generation Barber who started it at the age of 14 and learned the skills from his grandfather who worked in a Barbershop in New York. Since the opening of the Barbershop @ Supply and Advise he is taking care of your clean cut.

The Barbershop, located on the 2nd floor, is an homage to the tonsorial parlors of yesteryear.
The antique chairs are matching examples, sourced from all over the USA and restored to their original condition.

Make sure you get on the waiting list and get yourself pampered by the Jovan and his team!

CHAD'S STORE VISIT - SUPPLY & ADVISE, MIAMI

It must been some 2 years ago that I met the guys from Supply & Advise in their what they called at that time the Pop-Up Store. At that time I was already blown away about how they run a store.
Last Friday I visited Supply & Advise again in their new location and it was far above my expectations. It ain'tstrange that Supply & Advise is named in the top 10 of best stores in the US by GQ.

The store is designed with a sharp eye to detail and use of materials, filled with a curated collection of US, Japanese and British brands, decorated with great props like bikes, an army truck, Buddy Lee's and Navy memorabilia. and last but not least the staff is the most friendly and well informed I ever met. Thanks guys for a great experience. Like Arnold says; " I'll be back!"

THE PERFECT BUDDY FOR YOUR ALDEN

Anderson's belts are the perfect buddy for your favorite Alden shoes.
Given its Parma, Italy origin, Anderson’s may not be the most obvious name for a belt maker, but for Carlo Valenti it was an honor. When Valenti launched his company in 1966, he named it for an English tailor whose work he admired. The commitment to the then-aspirational name has led to a nearly 50-year history of belt-making expertise and made Anderson’s synonymous with high quality design and manufacturing. Today, the experience and traditions of this 50-employee operation combine with modern techniques to create each Anderson’s belt. Buy your Alden and matching Anderson's @ Supply & Advise Miami

TAKE NOTE....TERRAPIN STATIONERS, NEW YORK

During my visit @ Supply & Advise, I stumbled into the beautiful notecards of Terrapin Stationers.
In this era of text messaging it's great to send a beautiful notecard as a "Thank You" or Invitation.

For nearly a century, Terrapin Stationers have produced some of the finest engraved and embossed stationery in New York (or anywhere, for that matter). Family-run for years by husband-and-wife team Lloyd and Cathy Harrington, the company has managed to weather everything from the advent of the fax machine to the ubiquity of email. Now, Cathy and son Ted are at the helm, keeping things going with a line of note cards, calling cards, and more that deftly blend old school charm and modern irreverence — think engraved “WTF?” monograms sitting comfortably next to classic hunting club crests. Everything is made from the highest quality cotton and card stock, then exactingly pressed to form the sharply defined, raised impressions that have made engraving the preferred method of high-end printing for centuries.

They don't have a stockist in The Netherlands or Belgium yet, so you have to go online to order yourself some reborn goodies.

CHAD'S STORE LOCATOR: SUPPLY & ADVISE - MIAMI, FL.

As always before I plan a trip to the States, I surf the web to find some interesting stores in the area.
Travelling to Florida is a challenge of finding such stores, but I found a hidden gem in Miami.
Driving on I95 South from Boca Raton with Will Smith's song Welcome to Miami from the speakers I end up in Midtown Miami at Supply & Advise.

I had a nice chat with Kevin Beltran, one of the founders of Supply & Advise. They started some year ago with, as they call it the pop-up store filled with American Made sportswear.
Brands like, Alden, Red Wing, York Street, Levi's Vintage, Engineerd Garments, Gant Rugger, Filson, The Hill-Side etc. displayed in a military yet urban environment. Kevin told me that they are planning to open some more locations throughout Miami. Maybe even some more in some colder area's because they love layering and that's difficult with the temperatures in Miami.

If you head to Miami Beach in the near future, make sure you make a detour.
