JOIN THE NAVY

Serge van Bemmel started Navy International Agency in january 2012, after working for Replay for almost 15 years. In a 2 story apartment in the South East of Amsterdam he created his showrooms, for brands like Aspesi, Red Seal, Soho and Brooks Brothers. One room is fully dedicated to Ernest Hemingway, as you can tell from the pictures of the bearded writer, but also typewriters and hunting gear tell the story of Ernest. The second floor is fully Nautical inspired. Pond boats, vintage outboard motors and even sailing gear like a boom is hanging from the ceiling. It ain't difficult to see that this showroom even without collection is very inspiring. So come and join the Navy.......

MONDAY BOOK MANIA

Wow, what a gift last week I received from my colleagues a book called "Preppy, cultivating Ivy Style".
Filled with great pictures and easy to read everything you need to know about the preppy lifestyle.
Authors Jeffrey Banks and Doria de La Chapelle examine the fashion designers who played a major role in shaping the preppy look, from retail pioneers J.Press and Brooks Brothers to Ralph Lauren, who single-handedly marketed not just a look but a lifestyle. Also featured, a band of young twenty-first century Ivy stylist and fashion labels, like Michael Bastian, who infused preppy with high-octane design. Buy it and enjoy it just like I do.
