YO, SNEAKERFREAKS

Since August 2010, Flight Club opened their doors on 812 Broadway, New York. With a great wall of rare, one of a kind or special sneakers, not every size is available and all the sneakers are sealed in plastic. For the freaks it is like going to a gallery and buy that beautiful piece of art. Whenever you visit New York be sure to check this sneakerparadise. If you don't have enough airmiles yet, check their internetsite www.flightclubny.com PS they don't have the New Balance 1400 in navy yet......

CHAD @ THE GANT RUGGER STORE

It's not the first time I write something about the Gant Rugger Store, but this time I really know what I'm writing about. Om my trip to the USA I stopped by in this "great" store, no it ain't big at all, but I think it is the right size for a Gant Rugger store. It gives you the right feeling about what the Rugger collection is all about. In the fitting room is this slogan "First we take Manhattan..." For sure, Gant Rugger is on the right track.

CHAD GOES ON AN INSPIRATION TRIP

Tomorrow, I will leave for a trip to New York to get inspired by the East Coast preppies and find some Americana. Then I will hop to Honolulu to find some waves at the North Shore and last but not least get the vibe of the West Coast in Los Angeles. I'll be back to share my inspiration with you in November.
Aloha!!

GANT GOES BACK TO THE ROOTS

History repeating, Gant will open a store in New Haven, CT.,  the city where it all started in 1949. As from thanksgiving you will be able to find your favourite oxford shirts and chino's  at 268, York Street. But that isn't all, Gant will also bring a new selection of Yale Co-Op shirts, recreated from their 1960's originals, no detail ignored as they say. Happy Thanks Giving Elm City!!

CHECK MATE

The oldest outdoor clothing company in the world, Woolrich was started in 1830 when John Rich opened his first wool factory near Philadelphia. Initially delivering woollen fabrics, socks and yarn to logging camps on the back of a mule cart, by the 1850s he was producing a full range of outdoor wear in the famous red and black Woolrich check. Nowadays many brands use the Buffalo check in their collections.

IF YOU WHERE IN MY SHOES......

I really like to see a girl in "man" shoes whether these are brogues, monk straps or weejuns. What I don't like is a man on high heels......

Prepare yourself for the coming colder days...in these transition period you can "protect" yourself with a lightweight scarf. Above some inspiration how to get ready for what is coming. (pictures taken by Tommy Ton during Woman's Fashion Week in Milan)
