LET"S GET JAGGY WITH IT.....

I was invited in the Antwerp showroom of D-Lux, to have a sneak peek at the Jaggy Spring/Summer 2014 collection. As you may expect from Jaggy the collection was packed with colorful 5 pockets, but also jeans in some very nice washings. And what do you think about that antique washed polo with Hawaii print painted on it?

DSTREZZED - THE LUXURY VINTAGE Co.

Strezzed, Depressed, but Well Dressed

When I visted the showroom of Atelier la Durance, I also had the possibility to take a peek in the Dstrezzed showroom. Destrezzed is a young Dutch brand established by Eric Aarden, in 2010. Kay and Roy the 2 sales guys of Dstrezzed where more then happy to show me around in this inviting showroom.
This winter the collection brings a chino's in many colors and non-colors. Tons of cardigans in lots a variations like shawl collars, Fair Isle knits etc. Bubble coats 5 or more collars and my personal favorite the camo jacket. And as you can see i was a little to eager to take a picture so it ain't a steady shot at all.

CHAD'S AGENCY - THE SHOWROOM

As some of you maybe know I started my own business called Chad's Agency. This weekend I completed my showroom and I'm ready to sell the F/W 2013 collection of Arrow. The showroom is a mixture of vintage finds and modern design. The office table is a Vitra, with the Oxford chairs of Arne Jacobson a design from 1965 for the Oxford University. On ebay I found that beautiful vitrine table used in an English museum. Arrow is an American shirt brand over 150 years old with a lot of heritage, that was the inspiration for my showroom.

JOIN THE NAVY

Serge van Bemmel started Navy International Agency in january 2012, after working for Replay for almost 15 years. In a 2 story apartment in the South East of Amsterdam he created his showrooms, for brands like Aspesi, Red Seal, Soho and Brooks Brothers. One room is fully dedicated to Ernest Hemingway, as you can tell from the pictures of the bearded writer, but also typewriters and hunting gear tell the story of Ernest. The second floor is fully Nautical inspired. Pond boats, vintage outboard motors and even sailing gear like a boom is hanging from the ceiling. It ain't difficult to see that this showroom even without collection is very inspiring. So come and join the Navy.......

AMERICAN STYLE THE ITALIAN WAY

Last week I visited the Mason's Clothing showroom in Antwerp. During the 1970's the American Marcatino (Flea market) in Livorno was a piece of America on Italian ground, military garments, and gadgets of all kinds admired by collectors with passion for Americana. It was in this context that the Mason's brand matured: the idea of creating civilian garnets that conserve the aesthetic and characteristics, durability, and functionality of military garments. A style was born Americana the Italian way. For spring/summer 2013 the Mason's collection is not just military styled chino's and camouflage jackets, but also a full range of 5 pockets and chino's in the colors of the rainbow and more. During the Pitti Uomo, Florence they showed a special collection presented with backlight, the idea was just to have a showstopper, but the reaction where so good that they will bring this collection on the market next spring.
