PLEASED TO MEET - OUIGI THEODORE

This is the first post in a serie of portraits about men and their style. Meet Mr. Ouigi Theodore also known as the Bearded Man. Quincy "Ouigi" Theodore was born in Haiti and moved as a child to Brooklyn, NY. where he quickly became known as the local swagger.
After graduating from the State University at Stony Brook with a degree in history, he studied graphic design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. He worked as a graphic designer by day and club promoter by night. But his high-wattage personality did not lend itself to a desk job, so he scraped together $8,000 and opened his shop The Brooklyn Circus. Although he originally helped design the clothes at Brooklyn Circus under the BKc label, Mr. Theodore now farms out the designing, casting himself more as an idea-generator and curator. He's been wearing and collecting vintage clothing long before vintage clothing was "mainstream" and he basically trademarked the Beard + Neckerchief combo.

THE POP UP FLEA NEW YORK - GET HANDSOME

Last week New York hosted The Pop Up Flea for the 4th year in a row. Born over some cocktails back in 2009. The Pop Up Flea is an ever changing collection of new and vintage menswear goods. It’s a shop that opens one weekend at a time. A meeting of the menswear minds. It involves, in no specific order: good people, better things, expert craftsmanship, exercises in refinement, brands you love, up-and-coming designers, and menswear done right. PAPA NEEDS A BRAND NEW PIGBAG

The First limited Edition of 50 Butts and Shoulder bags saw the light on December 1st, 2013.

It all started a year ago when Hans Boons couldn’t find the perfect travel bag for his several travels through Europe. He decided to make his own bag with his most beloved material, leather. After he made his own bag, he received pleasant comments about his bag during his many trips.

After a while he decided to take it a step further. He asked Wouter Munnichs, Dirk Hens and his wife Jose to join him and he suggested to make the ultimate travel bag. He wanted to integrate their experience into the process and offered them the opportunity to be a part of the team. Neither of them hesitated, and Butts and Shoulders was no longer a one man show.

A Butts and Shoulders bag is made of 100% natural vegetable leather. They call it virgin leather. The moment you unpack it, you are starting the unique ageing process. By using it, touching it and even by exposing it to daylight the looks of this unique bag will change. The more you will use it, the more beautifull it gets. Like a true friendship that will grow over time.
Every bag will be delivered with a leather certificate with the unique bag number. The certificate reminds you to the start of the ‘virgin’ leather and it’s also the testimony of the registered original. The bag is 100% made in Holland. I love the logbook inside the bag - that's a great idea!

THE COLDER DAY HAT-TRICK

Guys, with the colder days ahead, we have to protect our precious hat.
No better way to do so with a tweed cap.
