LUIGI BIANCHI MANTOVA - LBM1911 - LOOKBOOK FW16

In 1898, 16-year-old Luigi Bianchi set off from the Italian province of Mantova bound for Turin, the storied capital of northern Italy's tradition of master tailoring. By 1911, hed founded his own label now known as Lubiam and began designing luxury mens clothing. Bianchi's company remains a family affair, but has evolved from a single line into a tailoring house with two distinct imprints: the casual-cool LBM 1911, and a more classically minded offering aptly titled Luigi Bianchi Mantova. Blending exquisite fabrics and expert fabrication with razor-sharp cuts, the companys clothing includes canvassed suits, impeccable coats and blazers, and sportswear made to last.

The new Luigi Bianchi Mantova Sartoria collection revolves around warmth, weightlessness (in terms of weight and tailoring) and nature.
Valuable natural yarns, warm to the touch in spite of their light weight: from pure wool to wool blends, cashmere, silk and pure cashmere to face the winter weather light-heartedly.
Not only the yarns, but also the colours are natural, plain or with dashes of bright colours.
Besides the classical blues and greys in a variety of shades, the timeless charm of camel prevails, from the lightest and most delicate shades to the stronger hues. They are the perfect choice for those seeking versatile garments that also create an extremely chic, sophisticated look. Warm honey colours complete the palette of beiges and browns. WHO'S THAT MAN BEHIND THE GLASSES

The man with the dark rimmed glasses is called David Hockney and known for his photo collages and paintings of Los Angeles swimming pools. He is considered as one of the most influential British artist of the 20th century and for many fashion brands used as an inspirational style icon.

David Hockney was born in Bradford, England, on July 9, 1937. He loved books and was interested in art from an early age, admiring Picasso, Matisse and Fragonard. His parents encouraged their son’s artistic exploration, and gave him the freedom to doodle and daydream.
He did well as a student, and his paintings won prizes and were purchased for private collections.
He was drawn to the light and the heat of California, and first visited Los Angeles in 1963. He officially moved there in 1966. The swimming pools of L.A. were one of his favorite subjects, and he became known for large, iconic works such as A Bigger Splash.
