LIFE MAGAZINE COVERS FROM A FASHION POINT OF VIEW

Life magazine, is an American magazine that ran weekly from 1883 to 1972, published initially as a humor and general interest magazine. Time founder Henry Luce bought the magazine in 1936, solely so that he could acquire the rights to its name. Life was a weekly news magazine with a strong emphasis on photojournalism. We all know these icon covers with JFK on a sailing boat and a sailor who kisses a nurse. I tried to look at their covers with a fashion eye and I found some great covers with fashion statements which are still relevant. Like the first cover with the Japan jacket, Ernest Hemingway in his striped T-shirt or Mr Fonda in his camel coat who for sure inspired Kanye West.
