We Are The Market made a great editorial featuring the updated Anglo-American classics designed by Mark McNairy. What started with some oxford shirts and some saddle shoes has now become a full collection, and always with a twist.

TIME STOOD STILL @ J.PRESS, NEW HAVEN
"Classic American Style isn't created in an instant. It takes time. In fact, it takes generations worth of thoughtful refinement and an unwavering commitment to dress men to an Ivy League standard".
This is the commitment of J.Press, Jacob Press opened his first store in 1902 on the grounds of Yale University, he believed in quality above all else. It's that belief that earned him the esteem of US presidents, scholars and captains of industry. You can find a J.Press in New York, Boston, Washington and still in New Haven, CT. When I visited the store on my last trip it looked like time stood still. Everything breath the spirit of the early days, even the sales staff. This must have been the feeling, when the students bought their first Oxford shirts there, back in the days even before Take Ivy.

DROP YOUR PANTS
Yammie presentation of Incotex pants.
Founded in 1951, Slowear is the Italian group that owns, Incotex, Zanone, Glanshirt & Montedoro. Slowear started when Carlo Compagno Confezioni, a small trousers production was founded in Venice. The two Compagno sons, Roberto & Marzio, who still own the company took over control and started selling directly to retailers. In 2000 Incotec expanded with a total look not by just putting a label on other products but by acquire a series of compagnies, namely the best Italian companies in each specific category. it was here that they acquired Montedoro, the jacket maker founded in 1958, Zanone, the knitwear company founded in 1984 and Glanshirt, the shirt maker who were founded in 1960. In 2004, The Compagno family decided to create an umbrella brand, which is how Slowear was created.

WHO IS THE GARDNER?
This is a gardner look with a Japanese sauce, Junya Watanabe used barn coats and parka's and edited them with details and bright colors. My favorite look is the orange parka. (check the full coverage here).

EMBRACE THE BRACELETS
This season is'nt about which bracelet you are wearing at all, but about how many! It doesn't matter if you're wearing $ 300 designer pieces or you just steal your girlfriend's hairbands, the key is to pile them up until you've lost count.

GANT SPRING/SUMMER 2012
GANT by Michael Bastian
Antonio Ciongoli & Christopher Bastin
GANT Rugger Nouveau Prep
American in Marocco
American Preppy
I found these pics on the internet of the coming Spring/Summer 2012 collection of Gant, Gant Rugger and Gant by Michael Bastian. It seems that the Gant mainline collection is divided in "All American Prep" and "An American in Morocco" theme. Gant Rugger is cleaner then ever and is called "Nouveau Prep". The first picture is the Gant by Michael Bastian collection, a collection with a little ALOHA, I guess!! Antonio and Christopher are discussing who will win the next CDFA award this, we all know by now that Michael Bastian did.
PLEASE.......SAVE KHAKI!
This is what I mean by wish I could snap in my fingers and go the the next store, this time it would be Save Khaki's in New York. The simplicity of colors and presentations, it gives me goosebumps. Check also my other post about Save Khaki.
