CHAD'S STORE VISIT - THE ROWING BLAZERS CLUBHOUSE

Wow, it's been a while since my last post on my blog, but now I have a good reason to start posting again. Some weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit the city that never sleeps, also known as the Big Apple and many many other nicknames - New York.

I made a list for this trip which stores etc I wanted to visit, I couldn't make everything happen but one of my favorite brands is and will be on that list. Rowing Blazer by Jack Carlson.

In September 2023, they opened this Clubhouse on Rivington Street. A 115 square meter Flagship store packed with all your favorite Rugby shirts and a curated selection of vintage garments.
The staff is great the help you out with every question you might have and so I walked away with my perfect white polo pique with Rowing Blazer logo.

CHAD'S STORE VISIT - GANT RUGGER, LONDON

Gant Rugger opened it's doors on Beak Street a year or so ago.
Inside it's more like a relaxed New York loft than a store: brick walls, cracked original tiling, exposed brass pipes and a concrete floor, complete with sleek Sixties furniture and vintage fixtures.
The store was already packed with new arrivals from the Pre-Fall collections, but also some items of the FW15 collections. Man I love that wind breaker with the waves.

CHAD ON TOUR - WARDROBE 19, COPENHAGEN

Last week I spent some days in Copenhagen and found this great store called Wardrobe 19, situated close to the Copenhagen University on Larsbjørnsstræde 19.

The store's inventory consists of old furniture pieces, given new functions with references to Surrealists such as Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte.
Wardrobe 19 is not only redefining classic menswear, but also old furniture and knick knack  expressed throughout the inventory. This adds new functions for old pipes, turning them into hooks, walking sticks as racks, and chairs hanging on the walls as if the seats were shelves.
Wardrobe 19 has a nice selection of brands like NN07, Filson, Wolverine, Han Kjøbenhavn, Armor Lux and many more.
(Unfortunately I didn't brought my camera so I lent some pics from the net)

FILSON HEADS EAST

Filson, the Seattle-based heritage brand, opened its first East Coast shop this week.
The 1,800 sq. ft. space on Great Jones Street in the NoHo neighborhood features a mix of the brand’s luggage, accessories and outerwear amid a wall of reclaimed wood, a shuffleboard table and a wall of plants by the artist Satoshi Kawamoto. Indeed, he also worked wit GANT Rugger for their FW14 presentation.

The Filson shop will be the first to carry the brand’s new line of camera bags developed with Magnum, the legendary photo agency.

CHALKBOARDS FROM SCHOOL TO STORE

What should I say most of us or some of us, started to learn in school from the blackboard on which the teacher showed us the most difficult mathematical problems like Einstein's theory. Later on it it was also used in restaurants to present the chef's special And now you see it more and more in stores. Chalkboards become a real visual merchandise tool.
