SPANISH DANDIES - MAN1924

I would like you to meet Carlos Castillo & Jorge Navares, the Spanish Dandy's of MAN1924.
Known for their Spanish Sprezzatura, well-dressed but never over-styled. They are the guys behind the Kennedy Jacket an unconstructed blazer with soft shoulders in a relax-fit.

Carlos Castillo
The founder’s grandson, took over his grandfather’s businesses in1989. The company became essential for the elite society in their country. The MAN 1924 garments are manufactured following authentic and unique designs, using meticulous tailoring processes. The result is a high quality design with an unrivalled style, which has won the heart of the industry icons, such as The Sartorialist. Carlos is without any doubt the creative soul of Man 1924.

Jorge Navares
Successor of the Navares family, Jorge has a wide experience in the tailoring and men’s fashion field. He shares his responsibilities between Man 1924 and Denis, another of the reference men’s fashion brands in this country. Jorge Navares is unmistakable for his style, and along with Carlos Castillo provides the essence of Man 1924, a firm that does not know about borders, trends or fashion.

MAN OH MAN! - THIS IS MAN1924 @ PITTI UOMO

Jorge Navares & Carlos Castillo

Back To The Future

Pitti closed it's doors some weeks ago, but the collections only hit the floors within a few months, that's why I call this back to the future. I received those pics from Jorge Navares of Man 1924.
He shot some detailed pics of the Man 1924 Fall/Winter 2014 collection at the Pitti Uomo Fair.
Jorge is together with Carlos Castillo the face behind the brand.
I really admire their style, for me these are all classics with a twist.
(first pic via Carson's Street, rest Jorge Navares)

MAN 1924 @ PITTI UOMO - EASY GOING

Jorge Navares & Carlos Castillo

"Easy Going" that's what Jorge said to me, when I asked him if it was okay to take some pictures of the SS 2014 collection of MAN 1924.

MAN 1924 is a Spanish brand with many years of experience in the textile industry dating back to the early 1920s. For the last 20 years Carlos Castillo has dedicated himself to conveying the idea that MAN 1924 is more than just a brand. It is a way of life. Supported by sister Olga Castillo and his nephew Jorge Navares, yes it's all in the family.
The collection is characterised by having classic and sober style; suits, sport jackets, shirts, ties, scarves etc. All based on their own design and creation. The popped collar is a true handwriting of the brand.

DRESSED TO UNPRESSED

Exactly 1 year ago The Sartorialist posted this picture of Carlos Castillo owner of Man 1924.
For me this is still a great picture, nothing in this look is pressed or neat, but together it's a sprezzatura all the way!!

"MAN 1924" FOR THE MAN OF 2012

Carlos Castillo, the man behind MAN 1924, creates a look which is beyond preppy, not as slick, let's call it City Smart or Classic With A Twist. His signature are the popped collar shirts which you see on all the pics. MAN 1924 has 2 stores in Spain, (Bilbao and Madrid), called one of the favorite stores by The Sartorialist
