HISTORY REPEATING

Above some pictures from the GANT Spring Summer 1991 catalog. It was shot at Cape Cod, but the funny thing is that 20 years ago, GANT was in rowing as well, as you can see in the first pictures. Nothing happens without a reason, GANT is in Rowing again, last weekend the Varsity 128, The Netherlands. Next month Gant Rowing Race, Stockholm on May 14th.

GANT @ THE VARSITY 128

Gant started last year the Gant Rowing Race in Stockholm, this year Gant will also be the proud sponsor of the Varsity 128. The rowing race of the Royal Dutch student rowing union. Come see the teams on the 10th of April 2011 at the Amsterdam - Rijnkanaal, Houten. Make sure you be there 10.30 for the first race.

ROWING IS ALL ABOUT THE CREW

On May the 14th, the second edition of the GANT Rowing Race will be held in Sweden, between the university of Lundsberg and Stigtuna. As rowing is so much linked to ivy league is a logical move from Gant to get involved in this type of sport. (these pics are taken from green sleeve to go around) 

THE DAY BEFORE.....

Tomorrow, saterday the 22nd. the very first Gant Rowing Race will take place in Stockholm. The races will be held in Djurgardsbrunnsviken bay, starting below the Nobel Park and finishing in front of the Maritime Museum. They can be watched from the entire river. The teams are fully prepared if you want to prepare yourself aswell, buy a Gant Rowing Race exclusive garment in the Gant FlagshipStore in Stockholm and you are good to go.
