NASA ASTRONAUTS ON A FIELDTRIP

In the summer of 1967, a group of American astronauts visited Iceland to study the islands’ geology under the guidance of Icelandic and American geologists.
One of the young men who set foot on Iceland on July 5 in 1967 was Neil Armstrong.
In 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon. When asked how he felt that day, he replied “very, very small”. Eleven men followed in his footsteps. Nine of the twelve men who set foot on the moon from 1969 to 1972 had traveled to Iceland to train for their missions.

For me the pictures give are a great inspiration of how workwear and outdoor wear come together.

WHAT HAPPEND 30 YEARS AGO?

No this isn't the Eyjafjallajokull- Gletsjer on Iceland, this is Mount Helens, Or. Mount Helens is most famous for it's eruption on May 18, 1980, which was the deadliest and most economically destructive volcanic event in the history of the United States. 57 people were killed, 250 homes, 47 bridges, 15 miles of railway, and 185 miles of highway were destroyed. I'm wondering if planes weren't flying at that time aswell.
