Barena is a Venetian clothing company founded in 1961 by Sandro Zara. Barena takes it's name from the Italian word barena, meaning a zone that is between land and lagoon. Originally, Venice was only lagoon, barena, and other little islands. The brand's inspiration is rooted in the ruggedness of that environment and the people - farmers, hunters, and fishermen - who inhabited it. Pieces are constructed from high-quality natural fabrics, in particular the finest Italian wool for their Fall/Winter collection. I love the knitted blue blazer with camel cable scarf!
