J.CREW SPRING 2010

Frank Muytjens, the head menswear designer for J.Crew, has an eye for modern masculine style. Several years ago, the brand had made a name for itself as a leading preppy retailer : the go-to for critter chinos and madras cargo shorts. Thanks to Frank though, the J.Crew men's collection has become the favorite among american style aficionados, including myself. For Spring 2010. On my list for must-have spring items, a pair of dirty white jeans is crucial. Though white is the classic spring/summer color, it can be  a little too clean. The distressed denim adds to the whole casual "cool" factor of the brand. The chambray shirt, an american icon, is taken to another level when slimmed down and offered in a variety of washes. I will hunt New York down to find this green checked shirt. Mr. J.CREW when will you row your boat to Europe?
